Food Quiz #6

Too pretty to eat?

This one's for Matt, who apparently misses the food quiz, even though he doesn't visit often enough to notice that Food Quiz #5 came and went without any comments from him. hmmmph!
1. What is this?
2. What mathematical topic does it bring to mind?
3. In what city was the farmers market where I bought this?

that is one of the most beautiful veggies i have ever seen. and i have no idea what it is. it looks like a variation on broccoli, a really artsy broccoli. i'll assume that what jessica says is correct. and i bet you bought it at the farmer's market in louisville kentucky

Not cheating, Jess. Just being smart :-).

I wish I bought it in Ky, Julie. But alas, they stick to the basic vegetables in the south.

Thanks for playing Food Quiz #6!

sorry, long weeks equal no blogging or blogsurfing (like that term?? I just made it up!)
I am going to ignore the correct answer (cauliflower) and come up with one of my normal witty, yet confusing, responses.
I think it has something to do with asparagus. and jello. a strange mixture that only you would come up with and make look like this.

Nice guess (imagination, rather), Teddy.
