In Taiwan we had geckos and japaluras. In kentucky we've got the wonderfully shy and squiggly skink. I've been trying to get a picture of one of these creatures for over a year now. My photo doesn't show it well, but he's got an irredescent blue-green tail.

Skinks are great fun, they really run everywhere downtown, if you ever try to catch one they have the ability to pop their tail off.
